The original mixes of Josh Wink's 'Higher State of Consciousness' defined not only a period at which House music was arguably at its most creative, but single handedly brough the acid-house genre to the attention of the mainstream. Make no mistake, as far as big records go, this one is right up there. With the hook still sounding as fresh today as it did more than a decade ago, all this record needed was a little tweaking to bring the acid sound to a whole new generation. That tweaking comes courtesy of Dirty South & TV Rock, who add a deep, driving bass stab and some screetching synths of their own, and turn out a remix that hits you in all the right places.
