It’s here: the first all-new Strictly Rhythm production in five years. And fittingly, main man Todd Terry just happens to be the first name producer to ever record with the label back in 1990. Even better, another two Strictly veterans in Kenny Dope and DJ Sneak are also back on the block. Completing the all-star line-up are Terry Hunter, a Chicago producer and DJ of no mean repute, and Tara McDonald, the voice of Armand Van Helden’s ‘My My My’ and Axwell’s ‘Feel The Vibe’. In a time of crunching electronic grooves and ever more bleepy electro, ‘Get Down’ feels like the first sunrays of spring, an old-school vocal with the pedigree of the finest uplifting, uptempo dance music.
