Eclectic electronica head James Blake and Gallic-houser Laurent Garnier will headline the sixth edition of Gilles Peterson’s kaleidoscopic Worldwide festival.
Worldwide 2011 will take place in Sete, France between July 6 and 10, boasting a line-up thoroughly in-keeping with Peterson’s soulful but wide-ranging principles. Beyond Blake and Garnier (performing as LBS) lies DJ Harvey, Derrick Carter, Cut Chemist, reggae-dancehall legend David Rodigan and Croydon bass-boss Joy Orbison.
There are also nods for Kode 9, Mount Kimbie, Afro-Euro funksters Owiny Sigoma, jazz-cat Rainer Truby, dubstepper Pearson Sound and wildly experimental Californian Flying Lotus.
Worldwide 2011 is followed by Peterson’s now traditional 18-hour beach party; not to mention a special Singapore spin-off, running September 16-18.
