Nottingham’s Danny Berman is back under his super-cult Red Rack’em cape to release debut full-length artist album The Early Years this autumn,
The 14-track album primarily documents Rack’em’s earliest deep house movements – many of his early productions were only ever available via limited 12” release. A small selection of brand new tunes is also thrown in.
Berman, who also produces under the disco-orientated Hot Coins alias, is well known for his soulful off-kilter DJ sets on the Brit festival circuit (think Big Chill, think Glastonbury.) High-profile fans include Gilles Peterson; Red Rack’em started making records back in 2004.
The Early Years drops September 6 on Berman-run imprint Bergerac.
