Chicago’s ‘new school’ house sensation Tevo Howard will release a new compilation of tracks later this month.
Crystal Republic consists of the five-track Crystal Republic EP released last year and the as yet unreleased seven-track EP Pandora’s Box, which gets its own special double-vinyl release in July. Both packages will launch on Rush Hour Recordings’ sub-label Hour House Is Your Rush; the full-length album also includes two older cuts Move and I Won’t Lay Back.
Howard, who currently runs Tevo Howard Recordings and Beautiful Granville Records, has made a huge name for himself over the past three years, thanks to a slick deep house sound underpinned by punchy jacking rhythms. Much of that is in evidence on Crystal Republic, as well as a leaning towards synth-driven Italo disco.
Crystal Republic’s release date is still TBA.
