Soul Jazz is to drop an album chronicling the 'vogue' scene in late 80s New York.
In their never ending quest to bring underground club sub-cultures to the fore, Voguing: Voguing and the House Ballroom Scene of New York City 1989-92, will drop on February 3.
It will also feature a booklet of photography by Chantal Regnault, as well as two discs documenting the scene's key tracks.
The 'Voguing' scene began in 1989, whereupon teams of drag queens would compete at 'balls' thrown at clubs across the city, each trying to out-do each other with displays inspired by the poses held by models in Vogue magazine.
It was then popularised by Madonna, with her track Vogue, though she was accused of ripping off the scene and profiting from it.
Tracks on the double-disc set include classics like Loose Joints' All Over My Face, The Ha Song by Masters at Work, and Love Hangover by Diana Ross.
