Revered South African label Soul Candi Records, formed in 2001 by DJs Harael Salkow and Mbuso Tulwana, celebrates their decade of dance in 2011 and beyond with a comprehensive 10 disc release series.

This year Soul Candi reaches the significant milestone of a decade – prompting the innovative label to both reflect on the past and to look at the future. 

Through an unbelievable 10 CD collection Soul Candi looks back on the defining moments, musical highlights and legendary artists from the label over the last 10 years and also welcomes the future. Soul Candi stars of tomorrow.

Each release in Soul Candi’s extensive catalogue is a snapshot representing a slice of the label’s history, and the best of these releases have been selected for the first CD box set “Classics” which is made up of releases from DJs Fresh, Mbuso, Defected’s Simon Dunmore and Terance as well as a DVD of music videos and a documentary on the history of Soul Candi. 

Soul Candi constantly reinvents itself through its artists and the style of music; pushing the music they believe in as well as moving and adapting to the ever changing times. Thus springs the release of the “Future”, consisting of albums from the rising stars of the Soul Candi stable: DJs Shimza, Euphonik, Lulo Café and Harael Salkow and Whiskey.
