Veteran Scottish dance label Soma is preparing a new compilation prior to Christmas.

Soma Compilation 2011 will round up some of the imprint’s best moments in recent months; hence punchy material by Silicone Soul, Funk D’Void (alongside Sian) and The Black Dog is present and fully correct. There are also offerings from Slam (label founders Stuart McMillan and Orde Meikle) and rising stars Harvey McKay and Gary Beck. Elsewhere Joris Voorn remixes Samuel L Session’s 2006 hit Can You Relate.

Soma is, of course, the label famously behind Daft Punk’s Da Funk and Slam’s monstrous Positive Education.

The album gets a release on December 6.
