French festival Nuits Sonores has confirmed an initial wave of performers for this May’s gathering. 

The event covers all shades of the club, indie and leftfield music spectrums, taking place across several venues in and around the city of Lyon. This year’s programme, running May 16-20, will include daytime shows from New Order, Maya Jane Coles, Modeselektor, Joy Orbison, Ben Klock, Marcel Dettman and Ricardo Villalobos (alongside his Re:ECM collaborator Max Loderbauer).

Organisers announce Nuits Sonores’ main night-time schedule on February 29. Further details on the festival’s cultural programme – which includes art and food exhibitions and various music networking and workshop events – will also be announced in the coming weeks.
