Roots Unit producers Christopher Galloway and Piers Harrison are launching a new house music label, Vibrations, which will aim for both longevity and creative flexibility without breaking the bank.
Vibrations’ first release will be provided by disco-disciple Mark E (Escape EP) and will precede tracks from Afro Kazbah, Asian Project, Soul 223 and, of course Roots Unit.
The latter, like Harrison’s other project Brighton DJ collective Soft Rocks, has released recently on Permanent Vacation, Endless Flight and Lo Recordings. Harrison and Galloway cite Joaquin ‘Joe’ Claussell, Carl Craig, Nu-Groove, Factory Records and Jamaica as key influences.
Mark E’s Escape EP will be launched next month.
