Italian DJ Nicholas is fronting a mix comp, released by London’s Needwant label, celebrating pivotal New York house label Nu Groove.

Nicholas, who recently updated Robert Owens’ vintage house chugger One Body, offers new edits and remixes of 11 key Nu Groove tracks by the likes of Bas Noir, Lisa Lee, Basil Hardhaus 2 and Roqui. Back On Track/Nicholas: Nu Groove is released November 28, following a launch party in Shoreditch, London on November 12 with sets by Nicholas alongside Robert Owens and Needwant head Sean Brosnan.

Nu Groove was set up in 1988 by New Yorkers Rheji and Ronald Burrell, releasing over 100 releases before its sad demise in 1995. The label was revered as one of clubland’s most important house labels.
