Tricky is preparing to release his new album.

Mixed Race is set to drop on September 27 through Domino, and follows his acclaimed 2008 set Knowle West Boy.

It features vocals from the man himself, obviously, alongside those of Primal Scream frontman Bobby Gillespie, Jamaican vocalist Terry Lynn and Tricky's brother Marlon Thaws.

'I've spent my life going between cultures; Mixed Race is about that, and in a very direct way,' he said of the album.

The album, which was recorded in Paris where Tricky now lives, is said to be heavy on the African and Jamaican influences.
