Ministry of Sound is yet again at risk of closure following Major of London Boris Johnson’s renewed interest in granting planning permission near the club.
According to Ministry’s website, Johnson is intending to grant planning permission for luxury flats opposite Ministry of Sound which, if built, will force the closure of the iconic 20 year old club.
Last year, some of the world’s biggest DJs and musicians as well as over 26,000 people, joined forces to successfully campaign against Southwark Council plans for the development, but a new decision on the flats – and potentially the club’s future – will be made in March this year.
You can sign Ministry’s online petition here or contact Boris directly at mayor@london.gov.uk to have your say.
