Metroplex Comes to Fabric

Legendary Detroit label Metroplex is to celebrate 25 years in the business of techno with a party at London's Fabric.

Label founder and techno pioneer (or, arguably, inventor) Juan Atkins will be DJing on the momentous occasion, joined in Room One by Eddie 'Flashin' Fowlkes, Anthony 'Shake' Shakir playing live and Aux 88.

Said fellow Detroiter Carl Craig: 'This year is the 25th anniversary of Metroplex Records. So that’s technically the 25th anniversary of techno.'

Room Two will see resident Craig Richards with Surgeon and Kirk DeGiorgio, while Room Three boasts the brilliant Motor City Drum Ensemble and Terry Francis.

Meanwhile, the club's 11th birthday plans are in place. Fabric Live on October 15 features Caspa, Hatcha, Andy C, Scratch Perverts and Brackles.

Then October 16's party will continue as long as the crowd keep dancing, with sets coming from Craig Richards, Terry Francis, Ricardo Villalobos, Damian Lazarus, Dixon, dOP, Floating Points, Lee Burridge, Levon Vincent, Move D, Tobi Neumann and Trus' Me.
