MK & Scottie Deep launch label

Brothers Marc and Scott Kinchen – Scottie Deep and MK to you – have confirmed that they will launch a new record label next month.

Say Ahh! promises quality house and deep house from new and veteran talent alike. Freshman music-makers Si’ke DJs will drop the label’s first release, the Safe House EP, paving the way for material from fellow newcomers Angus Jefford, Plastic Co., Oli Furness and Jamie Trench, not to mention Deep and MK themselves, and high-profile friends including the Masters At Work, Jamie Jones and Dennis Ferrer.

Marc and Scott grew up in Detroit gaining breaks via establishment figures Terrence Parker and Kevin Saunderson; a move to New York followed whereby Scott developed his DJ career and AZTONK label, and Marc, famously, pioneered dub-garage remixes for a variety of commercial and underground stars; his biggest success via a remix of Nightcrawlers’ 1992 hit Push The Feeling On.

For most of the last 10 years or so, the pair has been focussed away from clubland on artist management and pop production. However, they did perform together at the Movement 2009 festival and, since then, have built up an increasing number of club appearances. MK is also just about to release the latest instalment of compilation series House Masters.

Si’ke DJs’ Safe House EP is released on December 6.
