Komba from Buraka Som Sistema

Headlines
The cult Portuguese dance collective – famed for fusing techno and African Kuduro – will release a second album next month.
Komba, a follow-up to well-received debut Black Diamond, promises some progression beyond the band’s trademark fusionist sounds, as well as a greater onus on live rather than studio-recorded grooves. Komba, taking its name from an Angolan death ceremony (which involves days of partying), was recorded during a month-long retreat to the Portuguese woods of Monchique.
Collaborators include female MC Blaya and Congo-born rapper Kaysha; the new album is released by Enchufade in October (date TBA).
