Techno legend Jeff Mills is prepped the release of a new album, called 2087.

As is customary with Mills releases, the set is a concept album inspired by 1966 sci-fi film Cyborg: 2087, directed by Franklin Adreon.

As an early inspiration for Terminator, the plot follows a cyborg sent back in time to interrupt the invention of mind-controlling technology.

Mill has previously used Fritz Lang's epic Metropolis for inspiration.
