Carl Cox, David Guetta, Sven Vath and Bob Sinclar are among the major nominees at this year’s 14th annual Ibiza DJ awards ceremony.
Taking place September 27 at Pacha Ibiza, the event offers 11 distinctive music categories (covering genres such as house, techno and trance) with eight nominees per category. Fans can vote for their champions at www.djawards.com.
Cox is nominated twice (Techno and International DJ), so too Guetta (House, International DJ), Luciano (Tech House, International DJ), Armin Van Buuren (Trance, International DJ), Tiesto (Trance, International DJ), Vath (Techno, International DJ) and Deadmau5 (Electro House, International DJ).
There are also nominations for Trentemoller and Seth Troxler (Eclectic House), Ben Watt, Francois K and Kerri Chandler (Deep House), Carl Craig (Techno), Axwell, Bob Sinclar and Erick Morillo (House). Maya Jane Coles and Nina Kraviz are nominated in the ‘Newcomer’ category.
The DJ Awards are also introducing a series of ‘Special Awards’ this year, voted on by a special panel of industry experts across disciplines such as ‘Producer’, ‘Remixer’ and ‘Cutting Edge’.
