Fast rising (and curly haired) dance starlet tINI will release her debut album Tessa on October 10.
Named after a friend who motivated tiNI to pursue clubland as a career, the album aims to convey a tempestuous mix of personal emotions – “from absolute joy to deepest melancholy” – via deep, percussive house and techno. It also promises Balearic influences, being that it was largely written in Ibiza.
Munich-born, Berlin-based, tINI is still best known for her output as a DJ; particularly as part of Desolat’s global touring programme and, this summer, Cocoon’s Amnesia residency. She was invited into the Desolat camp by Loco Dice in late 2008 and, since that time, has released just one track (to considerable acclaim) That’s Right. The new album, also via on Desolat, is her next big career step.
