Disco revivalists Hercules & Love Affair have confirmed that their long awaited second artist album will drop early next year.

Blues Songs arrives around two years after the New York outfit’s eponymous debut long-player and will feature guest appearances from Bloc Party’s Kele Okereke, regular collaborators Kim Ann Foxman and Shaun Wright, and German techno-meister Patrick Pulsinger. The latter actually shares production credits on Blue Songs.

Hercules & Love Affair have enjoyed a meteoric rise to the top in recent times. Their debut album was widely acclaimed and single Blind, featuring Antony Hegarty from Antony and the Johnsons, a chart-smashing hit in several territories.

Blue Songs is released on Moshi Moshi on January 31, 2011.
