Techno nerd Richie Hawtin is releasing a retrospective album of his groundbreaking work as Plastikman.
Called Arkives, it's due out in the New Year on various formats, with pre-ordering available between October 10 and December 31. As you might suppose, it will be a lavishly-produced affair, chronicling his work from 1993 to 2010.
Arkives Reference will include an impressive 11 discs alongside a commemorative 64-page book. Apparently, pre-orderers will get their name published in the book. There is a new track in there called Slinky, and a DVD featuring footage from his set at 1995's Glastonbury and 2003's Mutek.
There will also be a vinyl version called Arkives Analogue, featuring six pieces of vinyl in a presentation box.
