Global DJ icon Norman Jay will celebrate 30 years of his incomparable Good Times soundsystem this summer with a special anniversary compilation released by Strut Records.
Good Times 30 offers the usual funky Jay mix of sounds – everything from Zalmac’s boogie rarity Dreamin’ and Fries & Bridges’ house-edged Forever This (featuring an early vocal from Cee-Lo Green) to Jacob Miller & Inner Circle’s reggae gem Tired Fe Lick Weed In A Bush and Attic Tree’s slick jazz jam Voar.
Jay, MBE, enjoys DJ residencies all over the world; whilst Good Times is closely aligned to London’s Notting Hill Carnival it has spread its wings in recent years to cover all manner of international dance festivals.
Good Times 30 is released in double-CD, double-vinyl and digital formats on July 19.
