GOOD TIMES AHEAD
Notting Hill veteran and all-round Member of the British Empire Norman Jay is releasing another album under his Good Times banner. Good Times: London is due out on August 4 on the Azuli label. As the title might suggest, the set concentrates on tracks with a 'London sound', as defined by Mr Jay himself. For the spotters: Chubb Rock - Treat 'Em Right (Original) Steve Parks - Movin' In The Right Direction Glenn Jones - Meet Me Halfway There Maynard Ferguson – Invitation Vivian Green - Keep On Going Eamon - I Love Them Ho's The Whispers - A Mother For my Children Love Unlimited - I Can't Let Him Down Nash - Keep Rising The Ray Charles Singers - Wichita Lineman Black Sheep - Flavor of The Month High Inergy - Lovin' Fever Hypnotic Brass Ensemble – Sankofa Gloria Jones – Windstorm Chaka Khan - Love Has Fallen On Me Ella Fitzgerald - Get Ready Ullanda McCollough - Bad Company Catch Norm playing at the Big Chill on August 3, the official Good Times warm-up at Plan B in Brixton on August 23 and then at the Notting Hill Carnival on August 24 and 25.
