The first wave of names has been confirmed for Japan’s mighty pop, rock and dance festival Fuji Rock.
Taking place July 29-31 at the Naeba Ski Resort near hot spring town Yuzawa-Machi (in the Niigata Prefecture), Fuji Rock is once again expected to attract over 100,000 music fans.
Of the electronic and club-orientated acts set to play, The Chemical Brothers stand out. But there are also appearances due from Lee ‘Scratch’ Perry, Four Tet, Jamie XX, Tensnake, System 7, DJ Hell, James Holden and Darren Emerson.
Elsewhere, legendary Japanese electronic band Yellow Magic Orchestra plays; so too Battles and, on a firmly mainstream tip, Coldplay and the Kaiser Chiefs.
