Emerson Starts New Label

Headlines
Electronica mainstay Darren Emerson, one of Underworld’s original members, is set to launch a new record imprint, Detone.
Detone aims to push dancefloor-orientated material by Emerson and a string of reputable house and tech artists. The label’s first single, Gracelands, is a collaboration between Emerson and house producer Jamie McHugh – it’s due for release June 28.
Emerson joined Underworld in his teens, co-producing some of the outfit’s biggest tracks including Born Slippy and Cowgirl. He left in 2000 to pursue solo-production, DJing and management of his former label Underwater Records.
