Fast-rising Greek house head Stelios Vassiloudis will release debut studio album It Is What It Is on Bedrock later this autumn.
The release is split over two CDs - one fulfilling Vassiloudis’ downtempo fancies, the other showcasing his trademark deep dance sound. Disc one delicately positions ambient interludes between velvety swells of melody and languid guitars; disc two throws down deep, percussive house topped with soulful vocals and sharp acid lines. Several impressive collaborators are involved including singers Astrid Suryanto and Tumomi Ukomori, and Moodmusic head Sasse.
Vassiloudis is well-established on the international DJ circuit, his deep house and tech sounds finding particular favour in Japan, South America and, of course, the Mediterranean; not to mention support from the likes of Sasha and Laurent Garnier. He has been producing for a number of years now, releasing tracks on Bedrock, Moodmusic and his own (co-founded) imprint Dieb Audio.
It Is What It Is is released by Bedrock on November 7.
