Matthew Bushwaka heads up a new monthly party at Basing House, aiming to comprehensively explore the birth of acid house music.
While purging his 25,000 strong vinyl collection last year Matthew B, aka Bushwacka! came across so many hidden gems and special records that he decided to team up with fellow long time DJ Richie Fingers and start a night dedicated to bringing these amazing tunes to the music lovers of the here and now.
It is roughly 25 years since the birth of Acid House and this night is very much centred on music from 1987-1990, which hugely influences everything we are listening to at the moment. In fact so much so that one could argue that production quality aside, we are all dancing to the same beat again.
This new Thursday night, vinyl-only party will feature special guests each month. The launch party on March 8th features the legendary Mr. C, a man at least partially responsible for the underground sound in this country and worldwide and still going strong 25 years later.
Tickets are available now from Resident Advisor for a ludicrously reasonable £5
