House maestro Spencer Parker will release debut album A Gun For Hire this autumn.
Released via Nic Fanciulli’s Saved Records imprint, A Gun For Hire promises various stylish shades of ‘underground’ house music and a collaboration with Dan ‘Disco Bloodbath’ Beaumont. Listeners can expect everything from tech and acid to retro Detroit and Chicago influences.
Parker recorded the album following a move to Berlin from London; studio time was balanced with regular appearances at Bergain’s Panorama Bar as part of a residency held by Rekids (the label run by James Masters and Radio Slave’s Matt Edwards). Parker’s exceptional discography includes tracks for Buzzin’ Fly, King Street, Ovum, Tsuba, Crosstown Rebels and Rekids.
Release is currently set for September 14.
