Daft Punk are planning to release a live album. The Parisian duo previously released audio footage of a set performed at Birmingham's Que Club, called Alive 1997, but this is expected to be a more comprehensive affair. It will drop later this year, and was recorded on June 14 in their hometown. 'We're from Paris and we hadn't played there for 10 years. It must have been a special night for the audience, as well as us,' said Thomas Bangalter of the performance. They are also planning to have their fans contribute to their next video, for Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger, directed by Oliver Gondry. The clip was shot by fans themselves at a recent New York show. 'It's a montage of people shooting the song in the audience with 250 cameras. We were inspired by the Beastie Boys 'Awesome, I Fuckin' Shot That!', and we tried to do that in a four-minute video,' he added.
