Various Artists - Release 12 (Stereo Sushi)

Headlines
Stereo Sushi return with release number 12, and the label is going from strength to strength. Holding down residencies all over the world with the exciting Soulful blend of Deep, US House and Garage. The latest release is surrounded by a new artwork which will give the label a brand new push in the right soulful direction.
A double cd packed full of 24 Soul filled tracks and mixes from the likes of Joey Negro, Richard Earnshaw, Kenny Bobien, Aaron Ross, The Muthafunkaz, Ralf Gum and Miguel Migs, as well as tracks from the Z Records, GoGo, Soul Purpose, Code Red and Gossip stable. This is one release which should be heading straight for the front of your cd wallet and should not be missed if you love your soulful house.
Some of the stand out tracks on this release (and there are many) include the Martin ‘Mayhem’ Iken track from Elisabeth Troy called ‘Higher Ground’ featured in the Classic form (watch out for Elisabeth, she has an amazing voice).
The ever reliable Sunburst Band also feature with Rough Times with the man himself Joey Negro pulling out all the stops on this disco infused track. Next up is the Christian Alvarez cover of the Stevie Wonder track ‘As’ entitled ‘Always’ this is a sure fire dance floor filler.
Ralf Gum and Monique Bingham come together on ‘Kissing Strangers’ with Frankie Feliciano on the knobs producing a track with is going to turn into a classic and be one of Miami’s biggest tracks. No better way to round off one the smoothest albums around with the Purple Music track ‘He Reigns’ by Yass. Deep quality vocal house at its best on this album and ideal for creating some of those really special dancefloor moments.
Of course this release comes with the same dance floor satisfaction as all Stereo Sushi and Hed Kandi releases and all the tracks are in the original 12” form so it’s easy for all DJs to use and abuse at their own leisure. All in all an essential album which cannot be missed
