At a time when the nations dancefloors are becoming harder and faster, this new EP from Solemusic safely brings some relief for the soulful house heads out there.

With emphasis on the tracks being playable in the bar rather than the club, there’s something in this EP which seems to give it a bit of individuality on the scene. For starters it contains soulful legend DJ Spinna’s first ever house track 'Ladbroke Groove' (which just oozes funk and soul!). Chuck Cogan also makes an appearance in the form of label man Stevie Sole’s edit of Satellites. Stevie Sole and Gav Mac have produced a wicked track in the form of Comin On Strong (which is a tune and a half!) and included in the EP is the Dub of this. Looks like there’s more of the same to come from Solemusic, and if this EP is anything to go by you should definitely be keeping ‘em peeled! 8/10 (Colin Sales)
