Jamie Lewis' Purple Music can do NO wrong, and here they present their finest sampler package to date!  No messing about here, first up label honcho Jamie Lewis goes back to his disco days with his track featuring Cynthia Manley with 'Give' - a track bursting with energy reminiscent of the original soulful sound of Purple Music.  There's even some sax in there for good measure!!  Next up, Christian Hornbostel and Alfred Azzetto team up to bring us 'It Was Acid' - and boy do they mean business!!  Picture yourself in the Hacienda or Ayr Pavillion in 1989/1990 and this is the sort of thing that would be playing - and check out the cries of aciiiiiiiiiiiiiid!!  A genius track that pays homage to the early days of House.  Next up, Nightrhymes team up with Tasita D'Mour with their main room stomper "Keep On Pushing", a full on vocal houser perfect for the darker rooms.    We're not even halfway through the sampler yet.  And already this is just about the best one out there!!  Next up is Souldynamic who have got the legendary LT Brown on vocals, and provide a real soulful disco funky-ass house-a-thon (thats the only way we can describe it!!).   

Franco De Mulero & Adam Moss are up next, with Latanza Waters on vocals, this is DEEP!  With organ stabs, deep pulsating bass, synths, minimal percussion, and some trumpet to boot, this is main room belter which chugs along nicely.   The Funk Ensembe make a welcome return to Purple Music, and their track Afrodisiac is here and remixed by Purple's Antony Romeno.  Its given a full tribal workout with lots of excellent percussion and that trademark Funk Ensemble guitar sound.  Anthony then brings his own production to the sampler, called Passion.  A fast paced, singalong (well by singing we mean 'la la la') disco record with sax, definitely one for the lovers out there!!!   Following on from his excellent Music Is My Shelter track, Ray Paxon returns to the label with 'Life Is Precious', a deep and soulful house record with a vibe thats perfect for the poolside party in Miami!  FINALLY, to end the EP, Jamie Lewis gives you Kemal's remix of his track with DJ Pippi & Kim Cooper "So Sexy" which is material perfect for the peaktime.  This is by far the biggest WMC Sampler out there so far this year - absolutely 100% essential.
