Tiefschwarz present... Black Musik – 10 Years Of Tiefschwarz (Souvenir)

Headlines
It seems like only yesterday that tracks like On Up and Thru A Little Window started dropping on our doormats, thanks largely to Messrs Derrick Carter and Luke Solomon's Classic imprint. Ten years on (well almost), the brothers Ali and Basti Schwarz are celebrating with a double disc release, the first a selection of their favourite tracks of recent (and not so recent) years, the second their own productions. The mix album is packed with classics, Casio's Theme from Groove Box and I Can't Take It from Recloose both remaining pretty peerless. Ewan Pearson's version of Cortney Tidwell's Don't Let Stars Keep Us Tangled Up is an inspired choice too. Disc two features Troubled Man, Ghostrack, Original, No More Trouble, On Up and Blow, with remixes of said tracks from Kiki & Silversurfer and Radio Slave. Happy birthday fellas. Here's to the next ten years. (BA)
