Supafunkanova - Compiled by Joey Negro & Sean P

Headlines
This album takes you back to the original disco funkier end of the 70s and into the 80s. You can just see the cars cruising around with the funk fuelled vibes pumping out the car stereo. This album contains 22 of the rarest tracks from artists like BLT, Legacy and VIP Connection. The stand out tracks on this album include ‘The Bottom Line’ by ‘South Bronx’ which sounds very much like an alternate version of Rapper Delight and also ‘Release’ by ‘Expression’ which is full of bass guitar rifts and an almost synth sound loop all the way through, with a brilliant vocal performer and plenty of words for you to sing along too. Another standout track is ‘The Masterplan’ by Bill Lamont, this guy sounds like James Brown and his music could easily be featured in any film from that time. This guy oozes funk from every pore.
All in all a brilliant album ideal for sitting in the house after a big night out a chilling out to or for a for someone looking to discover some non commercial funk tunes from the late 70s and 80s era. (AA)
