Reza is a very in demand at the moment, both in the remix studio and on bringing his own material out as well. The first mix on this package is by Pacific & Vandyck, very piano driven with slightly electro edge to it. Chris Montana and Niq are next on this package with a very jackin affair, which breaks into that minimal sound with just a sparing user of the vocal and some nice effects.
For a proper minimal workout check out the Ivan Pica and Iva Delgado mix, only words to describe this are evil, dark and mainroom action at the end of the night. A really funky sounding electro mix from Jay Kay is also featured on this release from Germany. Yet again the vocal are used sparingly but to massive effect with a piano which will have hands in the air everytime it kicks in. Hussey and Bell provide us with two mixes, one a vocal and one a dub. Both guaranteed to blow your speakers up, the main mix has an incessant cowbell sound running from the start, if you think along the lines of Laidback Luke and Mark Knight you might be getting close on this. Three minutes into this track it breaks down in to the sublime vocal with atmospheric whooshes and then it comes back in.
The Dub by the Hussy and Bell boys is up next. Very tough sounding bass at the start as you would come to expect from a dub yet again these guys deliver in true form, atmospheric breaks and an energy that isn’t often found in remixes these days all come to the for front. Steve OD and Memberflex are finally up on this remix, alot of the vocal is used on this remix but in smaller samples. Peaktime never the less.
Al in all if you want a recognizable track with a dirty electro edge this has to be the track for you, fully recommend. (Antony Angell)
