Raw Artist Soul - Domingos Ride [Raw Artistic Records]

Six mixes on this tribaltastic sounding track. The Original is up first, very dark almost Deep House/Tech sounding. The tribal sounds drums and the flute piping away in the background mean this is definitely made for one of those moments on the dancefloor. Boddhi Satva Afiki Soul Remix is next on this package, with a bassline sounds similar to the old Frankie Knuckles – Tears days. The flute is every present in this mix, not as deep as the Original and ideal for the more laid back Soulful moment in your set.

Boddhi Satva also delivers a Dub on this track, awesome sounding keys at the start with a nice break coming around 2.20 into the track, this mix works really well and the slightly tougher bass will no doubt have the floor moving and shaking. Sosue is next the remix desk with 3 mixes, a remix, dub and finally the beats mix. First is the Remix, a little tease of a vocal with the tribal drums and a new edge to this floorfiller track, nice rework with a hint of cowbells as well. The dub goes slightly deeper but still keeps the same vibe and elements as the Remix.

The mix for me on this package has to be the beats, stripped down tribal beats at its best. Ideal for those DJ moments when you messing with accappellas and want a good track to work with. (Antony Angell)
