Velvet disco follows up its debut release from the legendary artist Lenny Fontana, with this main room disco fuelled EP. Peppe Le Funk comprises of Paul ‘Ridney’ Richards & Paul Nichol. The EP has already received massive support, including a showcase airing on Radio 1 through Ridney’s guest mix on the Trophy Twins show. Casino could easily be mistaken for some fine French house with its deep cultured disco tone. This track offers some serious peak time action, with its deep driving bass, and fine elements from a breaks track. Le Funk Supernova is supported by 2 remixes, one from each artist. Ridney’s remix dives into a funky, uplifting disco mix. Ridney chops up the vocals, add stabs and synth’s creating a fine piece of fourfour house Todd Edwards would be proud of. Nichol’s mix follow’s suit with some amazing keys and synths layered over a bouncy bass line reminiscent of floor friendly feel good record at the turn of the century.
