Double Shock continues to provide some fine vocal house music. ‘Tonight’ is Lil’ Devious debut on Double Shock, and it doesn’t disappoint in anyway. The package contains four solid mixes, each offer a different spin on the track. The pick of the mixes is Richard Earnshaw’s Re-Touch. He harness’s the vocal, offering a seriously groovy track that makes you just wanna get down. The vocal, and Earnshaw’s touch supply all the required elements for some cross-over appeal and make it work both in live in clubs, and just as easy listening. The package also contains an Elektro Organic Remix. This offers fine performances on keys, guitar and bass in line with a fine jazzy piece of music. This mix has a smooth, live jam feel, really nice to early hours and lounge areas. The final 2 mixes completing the package are supplied by Lil’ Devious (on the Dub Mix) and the Playermaker Sweden Remix. The dub offers something for those wanting it a bit deeper, where as in contrast, the Playmaker remix provides a peak time, hands in air European style mix. (GD)
