What do you get when the hottest house producers of 2006 team up with one of the true legends of the scene? The answer is Kerri Chandler’s The Promise (Fish Go Deep Mixes). Last year’s The Cure and The Cause set a very high standard for Fish Go Deep to live up to, but they don’t disappoint here as they showcase their remixing talents. There are two mixes to choose from here, the first being The Fish Go Deep Vocal mix. Kerri’s mournful vocals seem to drift along, on top of the sweeping synth sounds that dominate the track. The Vocal Dub provides a more subtle version that combines the very best of house music’s soul and electronic influences. (RD)
