Three ‘dope’ tracks are on offer here, each with their own individual vibe. Deep Shit is a deep and jacking affair with spoken-word vocals over quality beats and some real haunting drum sounds. It’s an atmospheric slab without the keys, which when thrown in the mix warm things up and give the track that little pinch of soul. Roots is very much an instrumental track with uplifting keys building through the track. Finally Stormy Weather is probably the strongest track here, featuring garage-style beats, sweet keys and a deep, deep bassline. There’s an awesome vocal too along with a sublime organ. A great and varied EP with something for everyone. (CS)
