Headlines
The Hed Kandi Spring Mix is on its way with 45 of the finest House tracks around. This album takes in some of the biggest tracks from over the last few months and there are some up and coming tracks too to look out for over the forthcoming months.
You can expect tracks and remixes from the likes of Mobin Master, Milk & Sugar, Dennis Christopher, Warren Clarke, No Halo, Freemasons, Morjac, ATFC, Joey Negro, Soul Avengers, Inaya Day, Soulsearcher, Faithless, Steve Angello and Ian Carey. It has to be a Hed Kandi album, who else can have so much talent on a single compilation.
First up on CD1 of the 3 part collection, the dancefloor favourite that has been reworked to devastating form by Steve Angello, it is of course Show Me Love. Kid Cudi Vs Crookers also features with an amazing remix by the Mobin Masters. One of my personal favourites on this CD is Love Crazy by Warren Clarke & Tara McDonald in the Triple D form, this is peaktime Funky House action along with Now You’re Gone by Juan Kidd & Felix Baumgartner featuring the heavenly voice of Lisa Millet. Hed Kandi resident Carl Hanaghan delivers an outstanding remix of the CR2 classic Dusk Til Dawn that will no doubt carry it into the history books and the hearts of many Ibiza clubbers this year.
Disc 2 more than carries on from the first disc. The first track is the Freemasons remix of The Outsiders and Keep This Fire Burning sets the tone nicely and sets a president for the rest of the disc. No Halo provide another hands in the air vocal workout with What Is This Feeling, and Warren Clarke is yet again featured with the monster track Bitch Is Back, this track has been causing some serious excitement on the floors worldwide and is a Hed Kandi DJs favourite. Ministry Of Funk and Way Back is the disco sampling track that takes on Modjo – Lady, but with a whole new twist.
Chris Lake gives disc 3 a big old kick with his track If You Knew, this really is a peaktime floor filling tune that will be rocking the floor in Eden (Ibiza) this year into the early hours. Marc Evans has to have one of the finest male voices in the world and his track The Way U Love Me goes to prove this, Strong vocals and a beautiful track reworked by Yass. The first release on Hed Kandi’s little sisters’ label Stereo Sushi is also featured, it is of course Lucien Foort and The Shame. The stand out track on this disc has to be the Soul Avengers rework of Make A Move On Me by Joey Negro, Classic!!
This CD is classic Hed Kandi big basslines, lovely pianos hands in the air singalong Kandi. Well worth getting down to your local record shop and getting your hands on, just to tide you over til Eden in Ibiza this year where the Kandi crew take over all through the summer and the party starts.
