Hed Kandi - Destroy The Disco [Hed Kandi]

Destroy The Disco has hit the shelves and it takes Hed Kandi in a completely new direction, this brand new series is all about filtered dirty basslines, that have been working so well at festivals all around the world for Hed Kandi this summer. The first disc is a mash up of some of the biggest producers around the world at the moment, Riva Starr take on remix duties on Gossip and Love Long Distance. The monster Watch The Sun Come Up by Example is taken up three levels by Devils Gun and this is turned into a dance floor destroyer. Burns gets his hands on Calvin Harris and I’m Not Alone keeping the original elements but adding a whole new twist. Fake Blood and Mars also feature on this disc along-side The Prodigy, Fatboy Slim and Double 99. This disc is rounded off by an outstanding remix by Kissy Sell Out on The Noisettes and Wild Young Hearts.

Disc two continues the onslaught on your eardrums with 12 more tracks with tracks coming from Yves Murasca & BK Duke feat Angie Brown Fake Blood again with the unbelievable track I Think I Like It which is sure to get any floor moving and shaking around the world in no time at all. The track that seems to be on everyone’s lips at the moment is Riverside by Sidney Samson, this track has been given a remix by Ralvero who has given it a very Subliminal style remix. Finally on this disc is the hands in air Kidsos by Sebastian Ingrosso, this really has the hairs standing up on the back of your neck feel and rocked Ibiza all throughout the summer.

A new direction for the Hed Kandi compilations and a whole new style in the music that will appeal to a wider audience, as well as a new style you have to contend with some new artwork from Jason Brooks who has pulled out all the stops to give us an almost cartoon strip artwork. (Antony Angell)
