One of Italy’s finest and man-of-the-moment Fabio Bachinni returns to Bryan Jones’ label Ringside with his second EP, Crystal City. Four tracks are on offer here, each with their own vibe, but keeping that awesome funky sound that Fabio consistently throws into the mix. Nuff Said is a funky, jacking track with a nice riff and plenty of snares to keep the heads nodding. Light Blue Jazz is a real funk/jazz/jacking-style track with uplifting keys. But Classy Thing is the standout track from the EP, with a kind of 80s vibe going on throughout the track. The last track on the EP is Meaning That, which features plenty of brass samples and skippy, garage-style drums. Another fantastic EP from Ringside, and well worth checking out. (CS)
