Fabio Bacchini - Funksta Boudoir (White Label)

Headlines
Although the days of wholesale sampling of disco records are generally gone, there are still some very good offerings if you look hard enough. This is one such example from Italian producer Fabio Bacchini and over the four tracks contains more funk Pete Doherty's sock drawer. Side A contains the tracks 'Tommorow’s Funk' and 'Working New York', both containing solid drums and an infectious disco groove. On the flip, you’ll find the Pasadenas-sampling 'High Soul' and the jumpy 'Since I’m Wrong'. Nothing massively original about the EP, sure, but if you’re after good time music that gets people dancing, then you may want to track this down. (CZ)
