Ewan Pearson – Piece Work (K7)

Headlines
Berlin-based Brit Ewan Pearson has been crafting fine work of his own (under various guises from Maas to World Of Apples) for many years, but Piece Work concentrates purely on his remix duties, of which there have been numerous glorious moments. There are 21 tracks over two discs here, perfect for the newcomer and completist alike. Particularly joyous are his versions of Seelenluft's Manila, The Rapture's I Need Your Love, the classic Hi NRG mix of Freeform Five's Perspex Sex and the Objects In Space mix of Cortney Tidwell's Don't Let Stars Keep Us Tangled Up. Oh, and that's without mentioning his version of the Pet Shop Boys' Psychological. And Silver City's Shiver. And Visions, by Slam. In short, this is all quite superb. Without exception. How often can you say that?
