The master of the dancefloor (and possibly the best ever Neighbours character) Doug Willis returns with two more gems on his Z imprint. Dougswana features some neat African chants from Zeke Manyika over a backdrop of strong drums and fierce brass stabs. The second cut, ‘Power to the People, takes its influence massively from the Philly sound - from the drums, guitar and Rhodes, and even down to the vocal snippet. Two tracks with an abundance of funk influence, and yet more evidence that there still ain’t many better producers out there than Dave Lee. (Curtis Zack)
