During the past few years Dennis F has risen up the house ranks quicker than a cheetah on steroids with a series of remixes and productions that have cemented themselves as house classics (Fish Go Deep/ Most Precious Love / Son Of Raw). His Latest release, taken from his new album “The World As I See It”, sees Dennis going back to his Techno roots with a modern slice of pounding percussive African infused house music. Taking a deep bass loop and adding a range of syncopated elements this track is certainly repetitive but grooves along in a way that never gets boring. Bongo solos, splashes of timbale and subtle hints of riding jazz cymbal all create a patchwork that is more than the sum of its parts. If minimal has been the buzzword of this year then Dennis Ferrer gives the pretenders a lesson in how to do less is more whilst still keeping the soul on this track. An essential purchase!
