CR2 Presents Live & Direct Mixed By Mark Brown - Ibiza 2009 [CR2 Records]

Label boss Mark Brown mixes up a three disc storm on this Live & Direct release on CR2 records due to hit your stores in June, the cd takes in the Day, Night and also the classics and you will be spoilt for choice on which disc to listen to first.

Starting at the beginning as  I’ve found this is a good place to start and the brand new rework of David Morales and Needin U by Mark and Adam Shaw kicks of the day cd, good strong track that is instantly recognizable. Harry Choo Choo Romero & Jose Nunez are also up with Lifting Me Higher, this is another recognizable track that will be devasting the floor over in Ibiza this season. Mark Brown & Juan Kidd and also up with Burning which is turning into a very big track with all the major players so far. DJ Sneak Vs Herve are up with the track which has been doing well over the last couple of months and is going to continue to do so, it is of course Droppin Kisses. Carl Hanaghan & My Digital Enemy are also featured on the day cd with the equally good Atlas. Finally on this disc and rounding off the day disc is Kalva & Kieran Brindley, no better way to finish the disc and prepare for the night and some darker, techie tracks.

The night disc starts with two tracks from rising star Tapesh, Weekend and also La Macrina, both equally good tracks that will fit into any mainroom set at the like of Pacha. Mark Brown & Goodwill also feature with Horse which also has that dirty Techier sound. Danny Freakazoid and Left & Right features round half way thru this mix and this certainly keeps the energy going and keeps the party going. Prok & Fitch Vs Filthy Rich supply Naga which blows up and is one of the pinnacle tracks. Finally on the night cd is Liberty City & Bu!Housers Vs Paul Harris and If You Really Love Someone, what a way to round of the disc.

The final disc, the classics mix features tracks from the last 5 years of CR2 Records. Steve Mac, Dirty South, MYNC Project and Kurd Maverick all feature. As well as my favourite Nicole Otero and Sunshine Song. This covers everything from the Electro right to the dirty Techier side of this established label.
