One of the criticisms of the music scene over the last few years is a lack of truly great records; more specifically truly great vocal records. There’s little that unites us more than dancing to your favourite records, screaming the words back to the DJ along with the everyone else around you. It’s a life-affirming experience, and one that has sadly been all too absent from many of the world’s dancefloors of late.
Step forward Dennis Ferrer, a man who over the last 6 months or so has done his upmost to inject this elusive joy back into club culture. For many, ‘Hey Hey’ has been the most inspirational original house track for years, uniting DJs and transcending genres to become THE hottest dance record in the world. Now it’s time to up the tempo even further...
Nearly 3.5 million of you have been checking out the original via our promo video on YouTube, with the result that Dennis has been labelled ‘the SuBo of house music’ by more than a few casual observers. The tension to see who would be handed this gold-plated tune for remix duties has been building ever since, but we can now exclusively reveal what you can expect.
Dropping next week will be mixes from Crookers, Vandalism, Tom De Neef and Dim Chris; all totally unique and all taking the record to a whole new level. Check them out now in this new promo video...
And if you're still not convinced, here’s what some of the industry's most established tastemakers have to say about it...
