Date: 31st December 2011

Defected Main Room: Junior Jack & Kid Crème, Inner City LIVE, ATFC, Copyright, Lynda Phoenix

Digital Disco Room: Greg Wilson, Ashley Beedle, Simon Morell

No less than three rooms have been carefully curated, all bringing you the very finest beats and artists from Defected’s global dancefloor with a host of very special guests.

First up in the Defected Main Room, we proudly present a selection of house music’s most revered contemporary DJs alongside a live act that is nothing short of legendary.

Inner City are considered one of the most influential dance acts of all time responsible for some of the best-loved house records of the last 20 years; ‘Big Fun’, ‘Good Life’ and ‘Pennies from Heaven’ represent the very pinnacle of all that is good about the scene for clubbers around the globe. They were the most talked about act of Amsterdam Dance Event earlier this year, and their live set promises to be a truly unforgettable way to see in the New Year.

Supporting Inner City will be three acts which fully encompass the Defected Main Room sound, in Junior Jack & Kid Crème, ATFC and Copyright.

Junior Jack & Kid Crème is one of the slickest DJ outfits on the planet. With regular sets at the world’s best clubs, their energetic, driving take on house music makes them perfectly suited to big occasions and they promise an unmissable spectacle come New Year’s Eve.

ATFC is one of Defected most established DJs, and an icon in the world of house music. Responsible for some of house music’s most enduring anthems, ATFC is a prolific producer and unrivalled party DJ. Copyright meanwhile, are the living embodiment of everything that Defected strives to create. Both acts personify house music and are essential listening for any true house fan.

A longstanding and respected name in the London circuit, Lynda Phoenix’s sound is diverse, influenced by global sounds, soul, jazz, funk and driven by upbeat vocals and bumpin’ afro beats.

Next, the Deep & Soulful Room goes deeper, injecting a little soul into the proceedings with a line-up that boasts three undisputed masters of their craft.

Osunlade is both a celebrated producer and an utterly inimitable DJ. Responsible for one of the biggest house tracks of the year with ‘Envision’, his DJ sets are nothing short of sublime, earning him a reputation as one of the most original artists of his generation.

Joining Osunlade are AtJazz and Aaron Ross, two vastly experienced DJs unparalleled in their knowledge of house music. Through their respective record labels they have built up a solid following of house heads who know a solid groove when they hear one. Expect plenty of these and more besides on the night.

Finally, Room 3 goes Digital Disco with Greg Wilson, Ashley Beedle and Simon Morrell.

Greg Wilson is one of the industry’s most respected and longest-serving DJs. A pioneer of both the early 80’s electro scene in Manchester and the current disco/re-edit scene, he has (quite rightly) acquired a global following. Wilson is arguably the world’s finest party turntablist, and a New Year’s Eve set from him will be an aural spectacle like no other.

As one-third of Xpress 2, Ashely Beedle is one of the most successful dance artists of his generation, and was instrumental in introducing house music to London, revolutionizing both the musical and clubbing landscape of the capital. An exceptional DJ, Beedle is known for his eclectic sets, encompassing everything from house to reggae and all points in between.

Joining these two titans of the beat will be Fina label boss Simon Morell, who in recent years has established himself as both a sharp A&R man and a master craftsman behind the decks.

With room for 4,000 revellers and London’s largest outdoor terrace (800 capacity with its own bar), Proud2 is the state-of-the-art party space at the world’s number one entertainment destination, The O2. Taking control of one of the world’s most advanced sound systems and a new generation body-kinetic dancefloor Defected and its artists look forward creating a unique New Year’s clubbing experience to remember.
